Just presenting a basic interpertation of the ClickBank affiliate program for publishers…
Overview : ClickBank is based on an electronic “marketplace” that consists of vendors selling e-books or online services. Affiliates earn by creating “hoplinks” from their website to the vendors website and earn a percentage of any sale that is made. ClickBank does not pay “per click” as with AdSense or AdBrite, and is more similar to the Amazon Associates program where the publisher is paid a commission on each sales lead.
Click Fraud : In commission based affilite programs, click fraud is irrelevant because earnings are based on sales and not on clicks.
Tips : Believe it or not, people do actually buy e-books and there are many people who have had great success with ClickBank. There are some very clever and creative implementations of the “hoplink” used by the top ClickBank earners to turn big profits.
Customer Service : E-mail support is very responsive, although we haven’t had the reason to use phone support. Otherwise, ClickBank has always been on time with payment checks.
ABP Opinion
The newly made over site adds more features for tracking, but the one complaint I think most publishers new to the ClickBank system have is the rules regarding receiving your first payment.
