Airtel has introduced a new terrif plan for prepaid subscribers for outgoing calls. The charges will be Rs. 1/min for LIFE. The plan coming under 'Super Lifetime Prepaid' offers an Airtel user local outgoing tariff of Re 1 for life. Under this plan, the customer can stay mobile by paying just Rs 999 and they have to use a minimum of Rs 200 every 180 days to continue enjoying lifetime validity benefits.
From Saturday, Super Lifetime Prepaid is available to all existing as well as new Airtel mobile users. All existing Rs-999 Lifetime and Easy Lifetime customers get this offer free-of-charge.(via: Rediff

BSNL on the other hand has introduced a new offer called "Night Speak". The offer is valid for 90 days, from November 1, 2007 to January 29, 2008. Subscribers can make the call between 11 pm and 7 am at a 50 per cent charge of their respective plans to the respective BSNL network of Tamil Nadu and other States.
New combo plans have also been introduced in broadband services, namely, ‘Home 500 C’ and ‘Home 500 C Plus’ with a monthly rental of Rs 500 and Rs 600 with monthly free calls of Rs 175 and Rs 50 respectively.
