IOL Broadband has started trials of its IPTV service launch on the BSNL Broadband network in Bangalore. The company has planned a soft launch of IPTV / VoD services in Bangalore on 14 January followed by other cities.
IOL Broadband has also signed a revenue-sharing agreement for its IPTV Service with Anytime - a consortium of major Hollywood Studios - comprising of Disney, FOX, Warner, Universal and more. This agreement will reportedly allow IOL IPTV subscribers to view latest Hollywood blockbusters sans commercial breaks.
IOL Broadband is reportedly the first company to introduce commercially deployable Broadband Interactive Multimedia Services in India. Apart from broadband internet access capable of delivering Television / VoD, IOL offers interactive services like Entertainment-On-Demand, Games, Video-Conferencing and more.
