It has become something that people expect...the bonus. You can give them the greatest product in the world, but if they don't get a bonus with it, they feel cheated. Now, while you may not have any control over the bonus that is given, unless you're writing copy for your own product, you do have control over how those bonuses are presented so that they have the maximum effect in your copy. Today, I'm going to give you a few tips for presenting your bonuses so that they have the greatest impact on your prospects. After reading this article, you should have no trouble presenting your bonuses in a way that will greatly increase sales.

The first tip is make sure that you show the value of the bonuses. A lot of beginning copywriters will heavily concentrate on showing the value of the main product, and yet when it comes to presenting the bonuses, all they do is tell what they are and what they do. Nothing is said about how much the bonuses are worth. If you don't tell your prospects what the bonuses are worth, how can they put a value on them? As far as they're concerned, the bonuses are worthless. So it is critical that you point out the dollar value of each bonus, even if they are small amounts. It doesn't matter. Put a value on them.

The second tip is to make sure that you tell the prospect that these bonuses are only going to be available for a certain amount of time and then after that time, they will be gone forever. Why do you want to do this? Simple. If a prospect knows that if he doesn't get the main product right away, if the bonuses are really good, he's going to realize that he'll lose them and won't want this to happen. I've actually had prospects buy something for the bonus because they felt it was even better than the main product and because it was a limited time offer, they didn't want to lose out. So put a time limit on your bonuses.

The third tip, and this is the best one of them all, is to save one of your bonuses for the PS. The reason for this is simple. If you include an extra bonus at the end of the sales copy, prospects are going to think that they are getting something that they wouldn't have gotten originally. It's a psychological thing. If it's not in the main body of the copy, it's an afterthought. Many times, the PS bonus will be just the thing to turn a prospect into a paying customer.

So there you have it...3 tips for better bonuses. If you use these, I have no doubt that your sales copy will improve tremendously.
