F-Secure Corp. has announced a partnership with Airtel Broadband & Telephone Services (B&TS) to provide data security to the company's broadband subscribers across India. Under the agreement, Airtel will offer its broadband customers F-Secure's security solutions through the Airtel PC Secure service. The service offers clients a high level of security, including proactive protection through F-Secure's DeepGuard technology, parental control as well as protection from all of today's most common data security threats including phishing, viruses, spyware, malware and Trojans-all integrated into one easy-to-use and automatically updated package.
F-Secure's value added service will be integrated into the monthly Internet subscription in a phased manner. In the first phase the Airtel PC Secure service will be immediately offered to Airtel broadband home users. The service for business users will be available later. The Airtel PC Secure features can be made available to Airtel broadband customers by subscribing to the Airtel PC Secure service at an annual subscription charge.

The F-Secure Protection Service provides a complete and easy-to-use protection against all Internet threats, whether they are known or previously unidentified. It includes an antivirus, an easy-to-use personal firewall and an advanced antispyware feature. It also includes the F-Secure DeepGuard technology, which constantly monitors software behaviour on the computer, ensuring that no malicious programs can take over the computer even if no signature-based detection yet is available for the attacking program. In addition, the product filters unwanted spam and so-called phishing attempts from incoming e-mails, and with the parental control, access to websites with questionable content can be blocked.
